User Management
OrbitSailor supports a multi-user environment, designed to help organizations manage access efficiently. Upon receiving your initial credentials from OrbitSailor, your account will have administrator rights, enabling you to manage all user accounts for your organization. OrbitSailor also employs a group-based structure, allowing you to organize users and services systematically. This feature supports the creation of organizational hierarchies, helping you streamline operations and enhance collaboration within your team.
Groups & users
In OrbitSailor, services, vessel lists, and users are organized into groups. This structure simplifies access management by enabling control over who can use specific services or view certain vessel lists. Key features of groups include:
- Multiple associations: A group can include multiple users, services, and vessel lists.
- Default group setup: Upon setup, the OrbitSailor team creates a default group and assigns your administrator account to it. Any services or vessel lists you create must be associated with this group.
- Customizability: You can modify the default group or create additional groups to suit your organizational needs.
To manage:
- groups go to a dedicated page in this User Manual
- users go to the next chapter.
